Dan Vedra
Dan Vedra is a lawyer who is passionate about helping individuals and businesses solve complicated problems and achieve results. Currently, Dan focuses his practice on consumer litigation. This includes lawsuits under the Colorado Consumer Protection Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Truth in Lending Act, and Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act.
Prior to forming Vedra Law LLC and its predecessor, Dan worked for a boutique real estate and commercial law firm in downtown Denver. He represented commercial landlords, property managers, receivers, private and institutional lenders, and individual investors in both transactional and litigated matters involving real estate.
During law school, Dan worked for the University of Denver Environmental Law Clinic as a student attorney. He extensively litigated a lawsuit against a large utility for violations of the Clean Air Act. He acted as a teaching assistant for Contract, Torts, and Criminal Law. He participated in the Wills Lab, which assists indigent individuals in estate planning. He also drafted a Citizen’s Guide to the Colorado Public (Open) Records Act (CORA).
Dan graduated from University of Denver Sturm College of Law. He was awarded the Order of St. Ives for graduating in the top ten percent of his class. He earned Scholastic Excellence Awards for the top grades in Torts, Civil Procedure, and Real Property. He earned his undergraduate degree in economics and history from the University of Colorado.
Dan enjoys cycling, skiing, soccer, and music. He has a son, a daughter, and a Border Collie named Ralph. He’s a Level 60 guy on Zwift and has four KOMs on Strava. He no longer likes running.
